I have been creating commissions for customers for a long time, and they are still one of the most rewarding aspects of my artistic life. I love the challenges of finding ways to capture the visions and imagination of my clients, while using my own creative perspective. It’s one of my favorite parts of being an artist!
So, let's break down some of the basics!
How long do art commissions take?
Upon inquiry and discussion of the project, I will email you an estimate. As projects vary in complexity, and there is a waiting list, I will update you on your place in the queue as we go along. It's usually a good idea to request these in a reasonable amount of time before you need them.
The current wait time for new projects is: 4-5 weeks.
Where can I see examples?
Please check out some images at the bottom of this page and also my portfolio:
What will I receive?
- the art piece
- digital files of the art piece in jpg/pdf format. If you need another type of file let me know!
At this time, I am not currently offering framing.
How does payment work?
To make the process easier for my customers I have implemented an optional 50-50 plan for payments. This ensures that my customers understand I'm committed to delivering the best service, and helps me to know we are both committed to the project. For original art, I will send you an invoice, and receive 50% upfront before I begin the piece, or if applicable, the concept sketch. After the project is completed, I will invoice the final 50%. Finally, I will ship and/or email the project to you!
Of course, if paying 100% upfront is more efficient for you, that is okay too :) Conversely, if you need to space out payments further, we can talk! Just know that I cannot ship and email the piece until I receive all payments.
If you have any more questions do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to working with you and would be honored to be your artist. :)
